CBTi Group for Insomnia
Group meets once a week, for 6 weeks
2 options: Tuesdays 7:00-8:15 pm, or Wednesdays 4:00-5:15 pm
Start dates: next groups (2025): June 3/4, July 29/30, Sept. 9/10, Oct. 21/22, Dec. 2/3
Evidence-based Cognitive-Behaviour therapy program using researched methods to conquer sleep problems
Sessions held remotely, via Zoom (virtual video meetings)
Fully OHIP covered (but you must be in Ontario during the meetings)
Who will benefit:
-chronic sleep problems (any or all of the following on most nights: difficulty falling asleep, waking during the night and having difficulty falling back asleep, waking too early, restless poor quality sleep)
-sleep struggles leading to negative consequences during the day, such as fatigue or difficulty concentrating
Requirements/Expectations:
- attend on time, and attend all 6 sessions
- have access to a printer to print handouts, or a computer or tablet on which to read them
- commit to doing daily homework (eg. reading handouts, sleep diary, behaviour changes)
- engage in group discussions
- willing to stop or taper off sleeping medications, if currently taking any

Week 1: Causes of insomnia, Sleep diary, Sleep hygiene
Week 2: Stimulus control
Week 3: Sleep restriction
Week 4: Cognitive restructuring
Week 5: Mindfulness and Defusion
Week 6: Review, and Sleep Wellness plan
