CBT Depression Group
This group is a once weekly, 10 week program, where the goal is to learn CBT tools and skills to deal with depression. A lot of the focus is on learning to identify and challenge negative thoughts, and negative self-talk. We also look at problematic behaviours, and discuss ways of increasing self-esteem.
This is a practical program; we use the workbook “Mind Over Mood”, 2nd edition, by Greenberger and Padesky, and there is homework every week.
The group meets on Fridays from 10:00 to 12:00. As of Nov. 1, 2024 the meetings are being done virtually, via Zoom.
