CBT Anxiety Group



This group is a 10 week program in which tools and skills are developed to manage anxiety. We discuss identifying and challenging thoughts/self-talk that lead to anxiety, and we review relaxation, exposure and mindfulness techniques. We discuss applying this to a variety of anxiety disorders, such as Panic disorder, Agoraphobia, Social Anxiety, OCD, and Generalized Anxiety disorder.


We use the text: “The Anxiety and Phobia Workbook”, 7th edition, by Edmund Bourne. Each week there are homework assignments which are discussed as a group at the following session.


The group meets Fridays 1:00 - 2:45 pm, and as of Nov. 1, 2024, the meetings are held virtually, via Zoom.
